What Tulum was like back when everyone called it a paradise. I featured this idyllic compound in my book Tulum Gypset as its one of the grooviest spots ever. Located on the beach in the Si’an Ka’an nature preserve about 15 mins walk from Nomade hotel there are five freestanding lux treehouse structures, each a private suite, with sumptuously large beds and textiles collected from around the world by the owners, Claudio and Lorena. There’s also a chef grade kitchen and dining area perfect for group dinners and a living room with no walls, just floor cushions and hammocks. Over the dunes is a deserted beach where you can wander down and swim and sunbathe au naturale just like in the old days.
