Libelula Tulum
One of the founder’s of Maxa Camp, a Mexico City based arts collective and Burning Man camp, recently opened this elemental luxury bungalow compound in Tulum’s Sian Kaan nature preserve. Tulum is so overrun these days that you really need to stay a little away from the action, ideally in Sian Ka’an a few minutes south, if you want that more authentic feeling that made Tulum a paradise in the first place. Libelula Tulum has nine cabana suites, all decorated in rustic jungle style, on a white sand beach. The best is you can just roll out of bed in the morning, or afternoon, and swim (naked if you’d like) in the cerulean ocean. The kitchen serves local healthy fare daily and a beach bar that’s open to all with amazing music, community, and vibes.
