Lola Mignot
Lola Mignot is a famous longboarder and part of the Mignot family tribe that’s based between France and the little surf village of Sayulita on the Pacific coast of Mexico.(The Mignot family basically put Sayulita on the surf-fashion map when they moved to town over twenty years ago and started painting hearts everywhere, before Lola was born.) Lola grew up surfing on the break outside her family home, which she now runs, along with her brother Diego (another pro surfer) as a guest house called Casa Love for chic gypsetters. She also designs a swimwear line that’s made locally. Lola spends a lot of time traveling around the globe surfing in various contests (her surfing style is so elegant and natural she appears to be dancing water) and visiting friends from Maui to Melbourne to Malibu. But when Lola is in Sayulita she can often be found hanging out at her mom Nathalie’s shop Pachamama (where you can find her trademark Tahitian black pearl necklaces) and surfing with her extended clan of friends and cousins, all tanned, multinational, and beautiful.
