Palazzo Daniele

This 19th palazzo feels as much like an artist guest house as a historic aristocratic estate. That’s because it is actually both. Run by Francesco Petrucci, whose family has owned the palazzo for generations (and he still lives in the penthouse) and Gabriele Salini, owner of the G-Rough hotel in Rome, the two friends are both contemporary art collectors, great dancers, and very gypset. They renovated the 9 suite palazzo located in southern Puglia in the small town of Gagliano del Capo with the help of Milanese architects Ludovica + Roberto Palomba and opened the gates in 2019. The look is pure decadent refinement with all the original stately moldings and aristo proportions mixed with chic, minimal furnishings. Sophisticated but not at all stuffy.

Tip: try to go during Capo D’arte, the art fair that Francesco started in the village.
